Payphone – Maroon 5

Payphone – Maroon 5

I’m at a payphone trying to call home
All of my change, I spent on you
Where have the times gone?
Baby, it’s all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two?

Yeah, I, I know it’s hard to remember
The people we used to be…
It’s even harder to picture
That you’re not here next to me

You say it’s too late to make it
But is it too late to try?
And in our time that you wasted
All of our bridges burned down

I’ve wasted my nights
You turned out the lights
Now I’m paralyzed
Still stuck in that time when we called it love
But even the sun sets in paradise…

I’m at a payphone trying to call home
All of my change, I spent on you
Where have the times gone?
Baby, it’s all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two?

If happy ever after did exist
I would still be holding you like this
All those fairy tales are full of it
One more stupid love song, I’ll be sick
Ohhh

You turned your back on tomorrow
‘Cause you forgot yesterday
I gave you my love to borrow
But you just gave it away

You can’t expect me to be fine
I don’t expect you to care
I know I said it before
But all of our bridges burned down

I’ve wasted my nights
You turned out the lights
Now I’m paralyzed
Still stuck in that time when we called it love
But even the sun sets in paradise…

I’m at a payphone trying to call home
All of my change, I spent on you
Where have the times gone
Baby, it’s all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two?

If happy ever after did exist
I would still be holding you like this
All those fairy tales are full of it
One more stupid love song, I’ll be sick
Now I’m at a payphone…

Man, what that is
I’ll be out spending all this money
While you’re sitting ’round wondering
Why it wasn’t you who came up from nothing

Made it from the bottom
Now when you see me I’m stuntin’
And all cars start with the push of a button
Telling me the chances I blew up or whatever you call it
Switch the number to my phone so you never could call it

Don’t need my name on my show, you can tell it I’m ballin’
Swish, what a shame, could have got picked
Had a really good game but you missed your last shot
So you talk about who you see at the top
Or what you could have saw

But sad to say it’s over for
Phantom pulled up, valet open doors
Wiz like go away, got what you was looking for
Now it’s me who they want
So you can go and take that little piece of it with you

I’m at a payphone trying to call home
More of my change, I spent on you
Where have the times gone
Baby, it’s all wrong
Where are the plans we made for two? (WHOO-HOO!)

If happy ever after did exist
I would still be holding you like this
All those fairy tales are full of it
One more stupid love song, I’ll be sick
Now I’m at a payphone…

“Tennis Court” – Lorde

Here she is Lorde, one of the best new artists in our modern age.  She’s a true original.  So try to get “a feel” for what she is singing about it and listen to your soul.  Don’t judge based upon appearances.

“Tennis Court” – Lorde

Don’t you think that it’s boring how people talk
Making smart with their words again, well I’m bored
Because I’m doing this for the thrill of it, killin’ it
Never not chasing a million things I want
And I am only as young as the minute is full of it
Getting pumped up on the little bright things I bought
But I know they’ll never own me
(Yeah)

Baby be the class clown
I’ll be the beauty queen in tears
It’s a new art form showing people how little we care (yeah)
We’re so happy, even when we’re smilin’ out of fear
Let’s go down to the tennis court, and talk it up like yeah (yeah)

Pretty soon I’ll be getting on my first plane
I’ll see the veins of my city like they do in space
But my head’s filling up fast with the wicked games, up in flames
How can I fuck with the fun again, when I’m known
And my boys trip me up with their heads again, loving them
Everything’s cool when we’re all in line for the throne
But I know it’s not forever
(Yeah)

Baby be the class clown
I’ll be the beauty queen in tears
It’s a new art form showing people how little we care (yeah)
We’re so happy, even when we’re smilin’ out of fear
Let’s go down to the tennis court, and talk it up like yeah (yeah)

It looked alright in the pictures (yeah)

Getting caught’s half of the trip though, isn’t it?
I fall apart with all my heart (yeah)
And you could watch from your window (yeah)
[Laughs]
And you can watch from your window

Baby be the class clown
I’ll be the beauty queen in tears
It’s a new art form showing people how little we care (yeah)
We’re so happy, even when we’re smilin’ out of fear
Let’s go down to the tennis court, and talk it up like yeah (yeah)

And talk it up like yeah (yeah)
And talk it up like yeah (yeah)
Let’s go down to the tennis court, and talk it up like yeah (yeah)
And talk it up like yeah (yeah)
And talk it up like yeah (yeah)
Let’s go down to the tennis court, and talk it up like yeah
(Yeah)

Hard Sun – Indio

Indio – Hard Sun (Note I made this video back in 2006)
When I walk beside her
I am the better man
When I look to leave her
I always stagger back again
Once I built an ivory tower
So I could worship from above
And when I climbed down
To be set free, she took me in again
There’s a big
A big hard sun
Beaten on the big people
In the big hard world
When she comes to greet me
She is mercy at my feet
When I see her pin her charm
She just throws it back again
Once I sought an early grave
To find a better land
She just smiled and laughed at me
And took her blues back again
There’s a big
A big hard sun
Beaten on the big people
In the big hard world
There’s a big
A big hard sun
Beaten on the big people
In the big hard world
When I go to cross that river
She is comfort by my side
When I try to understand
She just opens up her eyes
There’s a big
A big hard sun
Beaten on the big people
In the big hard world
Once I stood to lose her
When I saw what I had done
Bound down and flew away the hours
Of her garden and her sun
So I tried to warn her
I’ll turn to see her weep
40 days and 40 nights
And it’s still coming down on me
There’s a big
A big hard sun
Beaten on the big people
In the big hard world
There’s a big
A big hard sun
Beaten on the big people
In the big hard world
There’s a big
A big hard sun
Beaten on the big people
In the big hard world
There’s a big
A big hard sun
Beaten on the big people
In the big hard world

“Crazy” – Seal

Seal’s “Crazy” was definitely one of my favorite songs of the last 20 years.  People need to realize that music is like pure spirituality and it just totally enriches your soul.  I can’t imagine many teaching methods better than that. Here’s the lyrics.  I just love music.

“Crazy”

In a church by the face
He talks about the people going under
Only child know
A man decides after seventy years
That what he goes there for
Is to unlock the door
While those around him criticize and sleep
And through a fracture on that breaking wall
I see you my friend and touch your face again
Miracles will happen as we trip
But we’re never gonna survive unless
We get a little crazy
No we’re never gonna survive unless
We are a little
Cray cray crazy
Crazy are the people walking through my head
One of them got a gun to shoot the other one
And yet together they were friends at school
Get it, get it, get it, yeah!
If all were there when we first took the pill
Then maybe then maybe then maybe then maybe
Miracles will happen as we speak
But we’re never gonna survive unless
We get a little crazy
No we’re never gonna survive unless
We are a little
Crazy
No no we’ll never survive unless we get a little bit
A man decides to go along after seventy years
Oh darling
In a sky full of people only some want to fly
Isn’t that crazy
In a world full of people only some want to fly
Isn’t that crazy
Crazy
In a heaven of people there’s only some want to fly
Ain’t that crazy
Oh babe Oh darlin’
In a world full of people there’s only some want to fly
Isn’t that crazy
Isn’t that crazy Isn’t that crazy Isn’t that crazy
Oh
But we’re never gonna survive unless we get a little crazy crazy
No we’re never gonna to survive unless we are a little crazy
But we’re never gonna survive unless we get a little crazy crazy
No we’re never gonna to survive unless we are a little crazy
No no never survive unless we get a little bit
And then you see things
The size of which you’ve never known before
They’ll break it
Someday
Only child know
Them things
The size
Of which you’ve never known before
Someday

“Paradise” – Coldplay

“Paradise” – Coldplay

When she was just a girl
She expected the world
But it flew away from her reach
So she ran away in her sleep
Dreamed of para- para- paradise
Para- para- paradise
Para- para- paradise
Every time she closed her eyes
Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh

When she was just a girl
She expected the world
But it flew away from her reach
And the bullets catch in her teeth

Life goes on
It gets so heavy
The wheel breaks the butterfly
Every tear, a waterfall
In the night, the stormy night
She closed her eyes
In the night, the stormy night
Away she’d fly.

And dreamed of para- para- paradise
Para- para- paradise
Para- para- paradise
Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh

She dreamed of para- para- paradise
Para- para- paradise
Para- para- paradise
Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh.

La la la La
La la la

So lying underneath those stormy skies.
She said oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh.
I know the sun must set to rise.

This could be para- para- paradise
Para- para- paradise
This could be para- para- paradise
Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh.

This could be para- para- paradise
Para- para- paradise
Could be para- para- paradise
Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh.

This could be para- para- paradise
Para- para- paradise
Could be para- para- paradise
Whoa-oh-oh oh-oooh oh-oh-oh.

Oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo
Oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo, oo-oo-oo

The World Stops – Brad Hampton

The Worlds Stops by Brad Hampton

Here’s another sweet video we did for Kamloops recording artist Brad Hampton back in 2010.  Here once again I teamed up with Curtis Good for an excellent script, which really speaks for itself.  This is a very powerful song which we felt ought to be in film! So we did it!  I’m surprised Brad hasn’t already shot to stardom with this amazing song.  Here’s the lyrics and the story behind the song in Brad’s own words: Continue reading “The World Stops – Brad Hampton”

One Healthy Snack At A Time

How do we achieve good health?

Answer: Easy! With one healthy snack or food at a time.

“People are out of touch with good, healthy snacking ideas in our culture!” I say!

Our senses have been hijacked by chemically engineered food additives and evil “flavor enhancers”.  And then slick marketing campaigns on TV, Smartphones, Videogames, Sporting Events and even parked right in front of our public schools you’ll see big, giant Cola Trucks imprinting and branding their logos into the minds of our innocent and naive kids!
